Salado Independent School District is a public school district based in Salado, Texas (USA). It is located in Bell County mid-way between Austin and Waco on Interstate 35.
In 2011, the school district was rated "Recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.[1] Salado I.S.D. is a Texas Education Agency Recognized District. Its schools Thomas Arnold Elementary, Salado Intermediate and Salado High School are rated Recognized and Salado Junior High School is rated Academically Acceptable.

The High School Academic UIL Team has won district, regional, area, and state honors for the past 8 years. The One Act Play cast competed in state competition in 2005-06 and the Debate Team competed in the National Forensics Championships. SISD provides over 25 career and technology courses, including horticulture, fish hatcheries, forestry, biotechnology, agriculture sciences, home economics, web mastering, and computer animation graphics. Salado ISD prides itself on provided innovative, research based programs including Grand Central Station, RALLYE reading, Texas A&M Consolidated Mathematics Curriculum, Neuhaus Reading Program, and 2 full-time English as a Second Language teachers. Salado ISD conducts pre- and post-testing to determine program success each year and publishes this in a State of the Union report.
The tax rate for Salado ISD is currently $1.318 per $100 evaluation of property with $1.04 going to Maintenance and Operations and $.278 going to debt service.
